Quest 0.4.0

German language support and better calendar logging

  • Use Quest in English or German. Choose English or Deutsch before signing in, or change it under Settings → Language; the choice is saved on this device and remains available offline.

  • Read planning, tasks, rich text controls, recurrence, quests, Focus, calendar, reviews, settings and native menus in your chosen language, with matching date and number formatting.

  • Switch languages immediately while keeping your task drafts, running timers and own content intact.

  • Keep your chosen language through Quest's browser sign-in, account selection and recovery screens.

  • Open Help & feedback and support conversations in your chosen language while keeping unsent drafts available.

  • Log work from Calendar on a new completed task or an existing task, with editable dates, times and quest assignment. New tasks use the selected work date; existing tasks keep their schedule and completion status.

  • Correct a logged block's task without changing its recorded time. Open task details separately, keep unsaved time edits, and undo a reassignment when the affected work is still unchanged. If another device has changed that work, Quest preserves the newer data.

  • Pick task and recurrence dates from a calendar that matches Quest's light or dark theme, with localized labels, keyboard navigation, direct date typing and a Today shortcut.

  • Edit same-day time entries with one Date field and a compact Time range. Entries spanning multiple days show separate Start date and End date fields.

  • Improve diagnostic session cleanup when signing out or switching accounts, and prevent a previous capture session from carrying into a later session.

  • Prevent automatic daily rollover on an updated device from overwriting a newer task date chosen on another device.

Quest 0.3.1

Completed quests and numerous bug fixes

  • Fix a bug where clearing a task title could leave Quest stuck in the editor, preventing closing, navigation or task deletion. Finishing an empty title now restores the last saved title and preserves description changes.

  • Fix a bug where updating recurring tasks could leave the editor unresponsive, with buttons and closing no longer working. Applying changes to recurring occurrences now keeps the editor usable.

  • Fix task-title autosave removing spaces while you type, so pausing between words no longer joins them together.

  • Drag tasks in Plan from their titles, quest selectors and other controls, even after hovering. Hover previews stay clear of the task, while normal clicks and double- or triple-click text selection keep working.

  • Complete quests when you reach your goal, browse them in the new Completed view, and reopen them whenever needed. Your tasks and tracked hours stay preserved, and quest totals are clearly labeled as lifetime hours.

  • Choose where tasks go when deleting a quest: move them to another existing or new quest, or leave them unassigned. Logged time is kept, with a clear warning when the choice changes past reports.

  • Turn on Reduce motion in Settings to disable animations and smooth scrolling on this device. Quest also continues to respect your system's reduced-motion preference.

  • Choose a 12-hour or 24-hour clock in Settings. Calendar labels, time-entry editing and task history follow the format saved on this device.

  • See keyboard shortcuts on description-formatting controls, use Command-K to edit links and Command-Shift-H to add dividers, and recognize selected dividers more clearly. Escape closes link editing without closing the task.

  • Start new tasks in Quest work with the N shortcut or Command-K, without inserting an unwanted character. Browse every matching active quest in assignment suggestions, including lists longer than six.

  • Find the Focus view's back button in the top-left corner and see the circular Quest logo in desktop navigation.

  • See unread support replies from startup and open them through Messages in Help & feedback. The panel always starts with clearly ordered choices, closes when you click elsewhere, and keeps drafts available.

  • Improve sign-in failure diagnostics to help investigate login problems.

Quest 0.2.0

Recurring tasks, in-app support and a clearer weekly review

  • Create recurring tasks with daily, weekly, monthly or yearly schedules, custom intervals, weekdays, end dates and timezones. Recurring tasks are available in every workspace, including offline. Use a current Quest version on every device that accesses recurring tasks.

  • Edit one occurrence or apply its title, description and quest to future or all occurrences. Manage repeat schedules separately, and delete one occurrence, future occurrences or an entire series.

  • Open Help & feedback for feature requests, bug reports and private support. Use Command-K to open feature voting, the roadmap and changelog, already signed in with your Quest account.

  • Review similar feature requests before submitting, copy a Quest screenshot to paste into a bug report, and keep your drafts when switching between help views.

  • Drag quest cards to reorder them. Your saved order also appears in hashtag pickers, and clicking a quest card opens its editor.

  • Weekly Review now draws its bars correctly, includes a four-week moving average with values on hover or keyboard focus, and uses elapsed days when calculating the current week's daily average.

  • See running time counted consistently in task history, calendar totals, quest cards and daily and weekly summaries while your timer is active.

  • Keep calendar blocks for the same task together across interruptions shorter than ten minutes, without counting those interruptions as tracked time.

  • Save manual time entries by clicking a quest suggestion or selecting it with Enter. Tab still completes the quest name.

  • Finish inline task-title editing by clicking beside the title, and use less CPU while timers run.

  • Recover updates interrupted by reopening Quest and keep pending updates visible. If an update is required in future, a dedicated screen offers download and data-export options while preserving drafts and queued changes.

  • Improve sync and update failure diagnostics without delaying recovery.
